This is where half of my right lung was removed from my body. This scar runs along my back from just behind my right armpit ALMOST to my spine. I can’t feel anything on or around it. Now you know.
When I was in boy scouts and I had to dress up in “tribal attire” (a bunch of white kids in incredibly racist Native American Indian outfits and if you were under 18 you weren’t allowed to wear a shirt. This is real life.) I used to tell people I was in a knife fight. At 16, more than one person believed me.

i’m so weird. but i think they add character to you. i’m not joking when i say all this. they remind you of certain times and people. mine do at least. and anyone without scars..well they’re that much closer to perfection, but who wants that? i get excited with new scars. and its a new story. even if its as stupid as burning myself with pizza cheese, or that guy you used to hangout with who almost hit you with a bike. i don’t know. they’re all different and interesting. i love scars. this was totally unnecessary.
Preach it, sister.

I want someone who will notice the little scar on my nose.
This might be the most adorable thing I’ve ever read…
It’s weird to re-find scars I have forgotten about.
Like the little one that inspired this post.
The lady putting in the IV for my surgery in my arm, failed a few times and finally got it in. A minute later I didn’t care cause they shoved a bunch of Valium into the IV. But you know. Scar!
Story behind the photoset
When I was ten, I found out the hard way not to let a kitten climb up your shirt. Especially a kitten that hasn’t yet figured out that her claws retract. it’s not a super awesome story, but i’ve grown to really love this scar.
