Like the little one that inspired this post. The lady putting in the IV for my surgery in my arm, failed a few times and finally got it in. A minute later I didn’t care cause they shoved a bunch of Valium into the IV. But you know. Scar!
Story behind the photoset
When I was ten, I found out the hard way not to let a kitten climb up your shirt. Especially a kitten that hasn’t yet figured out that her claws retract. it’s not a super awesome story, but i’ve grown to really love this scar.

I have many scars on my body. One is from a fight I got in to with a girl at a show a few years back where she scratched me. A few are accidental burns from my hair straightener. Some are self-inflicted and others I cannot recall how they got there. Almost all of them are on my arms and legs. Except for one on my hip from a car accident when I was young.

it seems to me like everyone is hiding something. scars… everyone has scars, and usually they’re easy to hide. pull on a t-shirt and no one will know. but sometimes they still show, if you move too quickly or aren’t careful enough.
And our scars remind us that the past is real.

the story of my scar...
