Scars are narratives. They tell us about our own failures, clumsiness, medical pasts, broken hearts, existential crises, and so forth. No matter how much you change, how far you run, how many people you forget, or how many people forget you, your scars remain unchanged; a permanent life history. They are pale reminders of emotions and personalities past.
I want to know yours.

Whether you're a recovering self-injurer, a tattoo addict, a survivor of dangerous surgery, a child-hood adrenaline addict, or a bad knife juggler, I urge you to show your scars and tell your stories.

It’s weird to re-find scars I have forgotten about.

Like the little one that inspired this post.
The lady putting in the IV for my surgery in my arm, failed a few times and finally got it in. A minute later I didn’t care cause they shoved a bunch of Valium into the IV. But you know. Scar!
